Publications

CAEPR is committed to disseminating its research as widely as possible through print and electronic publication. Since 1991, we have undertaken an active publications program through the CAEPR Research Monograph series, the CAEPR Discussion Paper series, the CAEPR Working Paper series, and CAEPR Topical Issues. Professor Matthew Gray is series editor.

For information on ordering print copies of CAEPR Research Monographs and Discussion Papers, see the Publications Sales page.

For details of research publications by CAEPR staff outside the CAEPR publications series, including books, book chapters and journal articles, see the Staff Publications page.

Discussion Papers

The CAEPR Discussion Paper series (ISSN 1036-1774) comprises 289 titles published in hard copy between 1991 and 2009. Discussion Papers were internally and externally refereed, and enabled research findings to be disseminated without the delays associated with publication in academic journals. All Discussion Papers are listed on the CAEPR website, and available for free download in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format. The Discussion Paper series has been discontinued; current research is reported through the CAEPPR Working Paper series.

Working Papers

The CAEPR Working Paper series (ISSN 1442-3871) was established in 1999 to facilitate publishing papers of a more technical nature online via the CAEPR web site. With the expansion of publishing online, which enhances the CAEPR commitment to open access to research findings, the CAEPR Working Paper series has incorporated the CAEPR Discussion Paper series. All CAEPR Working Papers are refereed, and are available for free download in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format.

Research Monographs

The CAEPR Research Monograph series (ISSN 1036-6962) publishes collated research results and/or analysis of policy on major themes or issues, the proceedings of workshops or conferences, or reports on major pieces of consultancy research. All CAEPR Research Monographs can be viewed on this website, and are available for free download in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format. To purchase printed copies of monographs see our Publications Sales section. Beginning in 2004, CAEPR Research Monographs are published through ANU E Press for print-on-demand sale and for free download in PDF, HTML and mobile device formats.

Topical Issues

CAEPR Topical Issues present a broad range of documents by CAEPR staff relating to contemporary issues and debates in Indigenous Affairs. They include media opinion pieces, articles, submissions, interviews, sound recordings and links to external documents, beginning in 2002.
